It is my great pleasure to express a few words about Institute of Health Technology (IHT). Health is one of the major basic needs of the people. Skilled health cadres are lacking in our country, which cannot fulfill the health demand of our large population.
The Institute of Health Technology (IHT) Dhaka is one of the pioneer Government Medical Technology institutions in Bangladesh . At present the government needs of similar kinds of health institutions inthe other parts of the country and has increased the number of institutes and has give particular emphasis to decentralize such types of institutes at marginal level of Bangladesh . The demand for qualitymedical technologist continues to grow; technical skilled profession offers a tremendous variety of career paths and opens wide range of opportunities both in public and private sectors in the country. Moreover there is a growing demand for technically skilled cadresabroad.
I hope this institute would be the centre for excellence for producing skilled health professionals.
We do welcome others to visit our institute and provide suggestions for improvements of the institute as the ideal one in this country and South East region.
